|
With roots as a Swedish Evangelical Mission and Longshoreman's Union in Northwest Portland, the Mission Theater shows recent releases of the silver screen, cult classics, art films, live music by local and national performers and more in a comfortable setting.
An ornately decorated balcony overlooks a pulpit, and the main floor is naturally lit by several large windows. McMenamins pub fare and handcrafted ales, wines and spirits are available to enjoy during the show or performance.
Please note: Mission Theater is wheelchair accessible.

We arrived at The Mission Theater to very little fanfare, hardly a line, a table steps from the small stage. The opening band, Cat Martino, was sweet, her voice very fine, with a slight eighties vibe, and Cat's band mate Sven with some of the coolest tattoos I've ever seen - small birds flying all over the right side of his body. I love that kind of thought. |

I hadn't heard of Cat Martino until last night. Not a lot of energy, but she sounded great. She seemed a little scattered and nervous at times. Maybe she was having an off night? Anyone else agree?

Patrick Watson was AMAZING last night! Loved when the band played "Into Giants" in the audience. And did the drummer actually play a hand saw with a bow?! Great show. Can't wait for him to come back to PDX!
